Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.
On Thursday, February 23, we dedicated our 107th home to the Johnson family. Thanks to everyone involved in this build, including the sponsors and over 250 volunteers, the Johnsons now have a safe and affordable place to finally call “home.”
We recently built our 106th home as part of our Interfaith Build. A Habitat for Humanity Interfaith Build brings people together of different backgrounds and faiths to put aside differences, build homes, and celebrate inclusion and diversity within our community.
Habitat for Humanity of Denton County has purchased 8 acres of vacant land in Southeast Denton with plans to establish a new “Habitat Village” housing development on the property. As many as 35 new affordable homes can be provided to those in need via this development. This project also includes establishing the infrastructure of the neighborhood, including streets, sidewalks, utilities, and everything else needed to support a neighborhood of 35 homes.
Now more than ever, the need for affordable housing in Denton County is increasing. We need your help to build this Habitat Village for the hardworking, low-income families in need of decent, affordable housing in Denton.

Meet our Partner Families
Hardworking, low-income families in need of decent, affordable housing apply for homeownership through our Homeownership Program. Habitat’s homebuyers invest hundreds of hours of their own labor, called “sweat equity,” working alongside volunteers and other Habitat homeowners, in addition to paying an affordable mortgage and receiving financial education. Habitat for Humanity of Denton County has built 103 homes for 103 families since 1994.
