85 homes built. Hundreds of lives changed. Find out how you can help.
2011 Recap!
With the help from the community at Denton County, Habitat for Humanity of Denton County was able to provide affordable housing to 3 deserving families, which marked the 85th built Habitat home!
In June 2011, the Delgado family received their 1st home and it was a moment they would not forget. The Delgado family previously lived with the grandmother in a rundown trailer home. This family of six moved into their new home… a dream that came alive.
In September 2011, the Santana family first home was dedicated. This family of four lived in a small 2 bedroom apartment. Now, Maria, the grandmother, looks forward to cooking in her new kitchen and is able to enjoy a nice family dinner together.
Christmas in 2011 brought a big present for the Beltran family. They spent the holidays in a new home. Before that, this family of 4 was living with their parents in a small house. The Beltran’s are excited to start a new year with a new home for their family.

WOMEN BUILD EVENT IN MAY, 2012
With new builds arises new opportunities: a Women Build event is being scheduled on Saturday, May 5th or Saturday, May 12th (during National Women Build Week) where 75% or more of the volunteers will be women. The Women’s Build program brings women together from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing millions of women and children worldwide. Women Build events have helped to construct more than 1,900 houses! No experience necessary! If you don’t have any construction skills, don’t worry! Many women come to Women Build sites with no construction skills at all and still make a great impact. Training is provided.
